The group filed the suit in the wake of the legalization of same-sex marriage, with the Livingston County-based group arguing in part that the Senate Republican conference violated the state’s Open Meetings Laws when it invited Mayor Michael Bloomberg in to their closed-door conference.
The group also suggested in their complaint there was some sort of quid pro quo that was hatched by Bloomberg and Gov. Andrew Cuomo.
The move, naturally, was praised by Governor Cuomo.
